Working with British historical materials, in particular the golden wires used by Royalty and Guilds for over three centuries, she has sought to create art inspired by simplicity. This is the ultimate form of sophistication which conveys Zen serenity. Anita’s practice re-imagines leather hides to create panels using traditional embroidery techniques hand-stitched in gold.
Celebration of Material
The natural patina of gold and leather matures over time, acquiring an even greater beauty. Anita embraces the marks and shapes of each hide, championing it’s natural flaws and organic shapes. The marriage of these two historical materials combined makes stunningly effective Works of Art for Interior Corporate Spaces.
